The Tortoise Trust campaigns actively against illegal collecting and trade, against pet store abuse, and for improved education and for more sensible and effective conservation legislation.
Our courses and education programs are innovative, effective and accessible to all. Our conservation programs are well designed, are properly funded, and are based upon sustainable principles.
We are strongly in favor of captive breeding and the right to keep and breed sustainable captive colonies. We are totally opposed to the taking of animals from the wild.
